Kelly's Story
Kelly began suffering from Depression and Premenstrual Dysphoria Disorder (PMDD) in her late teens, while eating the Standard American College Diet and drinking plenty of diet soda. She turned to prescription medication and psychotherapy for help, but still suffered no matter the traditional medical steps she took to beat her depression. After the birth of her son in 2004, Kelly decided to explore other healing modalities to manage her depression and PMDD. She tried Reiki, accupuncture, massage therapy, and aromatherapy, with limited success. Kelly then happened upon the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and found that though she attended in order to get clear about how to feed her son, her depression resolved due to the changes she made in her diet. Through personal exploration, she found out that her depression was a symptom of aspartame poisoning (found in all those diet drinks, ugh!), and now Kelly is depression, PMDD, drug, and diet soda free.
Since IIN, Kelly has since had another son, gained 60 lbs, lost those lbs, and has stabilized in between. Through her firsthand experience, she can share techniques and strategies for you to avoid yo-yo dieting pitfalls and diet drugs, and find and maintain your ideal weight, without dieting, and with a daily dose of chocolate.
