I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. It is not to create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods. Instead, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.
Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.
Here are some concepts that we will explore during our work together:
Bio-individuality™: The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. I use a personalized, holistic approach to ensure that you will have great success!
Primary Food™: It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.
Integrative Nutrition Pyramid™: The Integrative Nutrition® food pyramid includes a balance of high quality vegetables, fruits, grains, proteins, healthy fats and water. To complete the picture, the pyramid is surrounded with lifestyle factors that create optimal health: relationship, career, physical activity and spirituality. I’ll introduce you to some of the healthiest foods on the planet and teach you how to find what’s healthiest for your unique body!

FAQS
How are you different from a licensed nutritionist or dietitian?
A licensed Nutritionist or dietitian is trained to assess the nutritional needs of individuals, establish goals and objectives that meet nutritional needs, and provide nutritional counseling in health and disease. They create a specific plan based on their findings.
The programs that I offer will teach you what certain foods do in your body, and how to prepare them. Instead of looking at fat and calories, I encourage clients to understand how to assess the quality of a food, and how learn how it works in their particular body. The tools that I teach are used over a lifetime.
What type of people do you work with?
Our clients are mostly busy active mothers who are tired of continuously feeling bad about their health. They are often overwhelmed and have tried LOTS of things that have not worked. They have trouble implementing changes that they really want because they are so busy. Most of them struggle with sugar cravings, energy loss, weight gain, and are worried about having poor health in the future. They want to fit into their jeans without starving themselves, to have control over their cravings, to learn to cook quick healthy meals, to have better skin, hair and nails, less anxiety, rid themselves of depression, have more peace, better digestion, lower cholesterol, less gas and bloating. Basically, they just want their body to really work for them, without deprivation or hunger.
What types of personality do you work with best and what is expected of me?
Our clients have demanding lives AND are ready to put energy towards taking care of themselves so that they can feel great consistently. We work with a lot of busy active professionals who come for help in learning how to take care of themselves, given their lack of time. Commitment to making time and space for your health is only expectation we have of you.
We work best with clients who are willing to be a little patient and trust themselves and the process. This is not a quick fix. Everything worthwhile takes time.
We choose to work with people who are ready to invest in themselves, with time, financially, and in making changes that will benefit them. Is that you?
For what type of person is this program NOT going to work?
This program will not work for people who are looking for a subscribed diet plan, with details on calorie counts, specific numbers for protein, carbs, and fat intake. That you can find on sparkpeople.com . What you will find in this program is that your body knows what it needs and will tell you when you tune into it; you need not worry about calories or macronutrient counts. Want to try it?
